Many women feel like their bodies are constantly being scrutinized — and not in a way that makes them feel good about themselves. That's why it's so cool to see that there's a contest that actually celebrates how beautiful pregnant women are.

It's not just celebrities who are judged for their appearance while pregnant. The "“GANDANG BUNTIS 2017”" pageant is meant to show that "pregnancy can be both beautiful and stylish”. The most important thing is to break stereotypes, and show it as something magical that exudes attraction, glamor and confidence inside & out to our pregnant mothers. 10 candidates from District 4 (from left to right): Kalayaan Health Center, Bernardo Health Center, Tatalon Health Center, Kamuning Super Health Center, Pinyahan Health Center, General Roxas Health Center, Galas Health Center, Krus na Ligas Health Center, Cubao Health Center and San Vicente Health Center respectively. The event was also marked by a lot of conventions that one may see in any beauty pageant, like evening gown or formal dress competition as well as a group dance number.

Binibining Gandang Buntis 2017 & the Ms. Buntis Talent, garnered a score of 90.75% is the representative from Krus na Ligas Health Center, Ms. Catherine Lafuebla. The 1st runner up with 88.75% score was the candidate from Pinyahan Health center while the 2nd runner up scored 88.25% from Tatalon Health Center, The panel of judges include (from right to left) Dr. Maria Lourdes Espinosa Eleria, OIC Chief Sanitation Division, Dr. Lourdes Suzette Estonilo – OIC Dentist Supervisor District IV, Dr. Sharon Grace V.
